The Exploratorium is a San Francisco treasure. Old exhibits from here end up in science museums around the country and around the world.
The California Academy of Sciences is a multifaceted research center and museum located in the Golden Gate park. The academy is also home to the Laserium.
There is a planetarium and an observatory at San Francisco State University.
Lawrence Hall of Science has a site for teachers who might be thinking of taking their class on a field trip.
The Marine Mammal Center rescues, rehabilitates, releases and studies distressed marine mammals. This is where you can find out more about them.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium has a wonderful site with a lot of interesting topics and great graphics.
The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is a major research center with a historic focus on national security. Research departments include the Human Genome Center, the Resource for Molecular Cytogenetics, and many more.
